Mission Reliability Advisor – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (On-site Preferred, Hybrid Option Available)
Scope of Work
As a Mission Reliability Advisor, you will play a key advisory role in shaping the dependability and operational integrity of advanced propulsion systems, including combat jet engines and cryogenic rocket engines. You will contribute to design assessments, risk mitigation, reliability growth strategies, and lifecycle support planning from concept to deployment. Your insights will directly impact system readiness, survivability, and mission assurance.
Nature of Work
- Advising design teams on system-level fault tolerance and redundancy strategies
- Participating in root cause investigations of field events and testing anomalies
- Guiding Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Modeling mission availability using probabilistic and statistical methods
- Contributing to digital twin reliability frameworks for predictive diagnostics
- Reviewing qualification test plans and component-level durability assessments
- Benchmarking system-level MTBF/MTTF against global platforms
- Supporting compliance with MIL-STD-785, DO-178/DO-254, and AS9100 standards
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or Reliability Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in mission assurance, reliability engineering, or airworthiness advisory roles
- Deep understanding of jet propulsion and/or cryogenic turbomachinery systems
- Hands-on familiarity with reliability modeling tools (e.g., Reliasoft, RAM Commander, MATLAB)
- Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills
- Experience with defense/aerospace standards and regulatory processes
- Ability to guide teams with a systems-level perspective

- Indian nationals or individuals authorized to work in India
- Veterans from DRDO, GTRE, HAL, ISRO, or international aerospace firms preferred
