Regulatory & Certification Advisor – Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid Available)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a highly experienced Regulatory & Certification Advisor to oversee compliance, airworthiness, and certification strategies for our indigenous combat jet engine and cryogenic propulsion programs. The advisor will provide guidance on applicable military and civil aviation regulations, safety standards, and help build frameworks aligned with global certification best practices (such as MIL, FAA, EASA, ISRO-SDSC standards).
Nature of Work
- Advise on regulatory pathways for developmental and production certification (military and space)
- Interpretation and application of FAR/MIL/EASA/ISRO-DSS standards in design and testing workflows
- Support safety case development, airworthiness documentation, and compliance matrices
- Coordinate with certifying bodies such as CEMILAC, DGCA, DRDO, ISRO, and international partners
- Assess design and test artifacts for certification readiness
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments for program readiness and documentation
- Mentor internal engineering teams on compliance culture and system safety
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related disciplines
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace regulatory affairs or propulsion system certification
- Strong familiarity with FAR Part 33, MIL-STD-810, EASA CS-E, and ISRO propulsion certification processes
- Previous association with certifying authorities like CEMILAC, DGCA, EASA, or ISRO desirable
- Experience with safety analysis methods like FMEA, FTA, PRA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for inter-agency coordination
- Strong documentation skills for compliance reports, checklists, and design assurance levels
