Systems Integration Mentor – Jet & Cryogenic Engines

Scope of Work

We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Integration Mentor to provide technical advisory and mentorship for our Combat Jet Engine and Cryogenic Propulsion programs. This role focuses on the architectural and operational integration of mechanical, electrical, control, and thermal systems within high-performance propulsion environments. Your expertise will guide multidisciplinary teams across the full product lifecycle — from concept to test validation.

Nature of Work

• Lead systems integration reviews across propulsion subsystems (core, afterburner, turbomachinery, sensors, FADEC)
• Mentor teams on system-level interactions, failure modes, and trade-offs
• Review interface control documents (ICDs), system schematics, and integration roadmaps
• Evaluate system behavior under operational, transient, and extreme thermal-mechanical conditions
• Advise on design for modularity, maintainability, and diagnostic readiness
• Support test bench setups and analysis strategies for integrated system validation
• Collaborate with simulation, control systems, electrical, and mechanical teams

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years in propulsion system design, preferably in military or space-grade programs
• In-depth knowledge of engine architecture (turbofan, cryogenic pump-fed systems)
• Experience in systems engineering practices (MBSE, SysML, DOORS, FMEA, etc.)
• Hands-on involvement in at least one full lifecycle engine program (concept to certification)
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills for mentoring and advisory presentations

• Senior professionals with prior roles in organizations like DRDO, ISRO, HAL, Rolls-Royce, Safran, or equivalent global OEMs
• Indian nationals or OCI/PIO card holders with a strong commitment to indigenous aerospace
• Retired or semi-retired propulsion experts open to contributing part-time or remotely
