CAD Engineer – Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (Onsite/Hybrid)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a motivated CAD Engineer to support the design and integration of precision mechanical systems for next-generation combat jet and cryogenic rocket engines. You will play a critical role in translating conceptual and analytical designs into production-ready CAD models and manufacturing drawings across multiple engine components and assemblies.
Nature of Work
- 3D parametric modeling of engine components including housings, rotors, stators, and injectors
- Creation of manufacturing drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 / ISO standards
- Assembly-level modeling and interference checks in high-speed rotating machinery
- Supporting reverse engineering and digitalization of legacy engine hardware
- Development of drawing release workflows, BOM structures, and configuration control
- Collaborating with analysis, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to refine CAD outputs
- Ensuring DFM/DFA principles are followed throughout the design process
- Occasional support for prototype builds and engine test preparation
Job Requirements
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Production Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in CAD modeling of turbomachinery or complex mechanical systems
- Proficiency in at least one major CAD platform: Siemens NX, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or Creo
- Experience with PLM tools like Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of tolerance stack-up, surface finish, and material specs
- Understanding of manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, casting, and 3D printing
- Basic familiarity with thermal/mechanical analysis and stress points in engine hardware
- Clear communication and documentation skills to support collaborative engineering environments
