CAM Expert – Jet & Cryogenic Engine Component Manufacturing

Location: Pune, India (Hybrid Available)

Scope of Work

As a CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) Expert, you will be responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing toolpaths and operations for critical turbomachinery components in our combat jet and cryogenic engine programs. The role requires close collaboration with the design and simulation teams to ensure high-performance components are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with aerospace standards.

Nature of Work

  • Generating 3-axis to 5-axis CNC toolpaths using CAM software (NX CAM, Mastercam, or similar)
  • Machining simulation and toolpath validation for compressor blades, impellers, nozzles, and turbine discs
  • Supporting manufacturing of prototypes using subtractive and additive hybrid workflows
  • Fixture design for complex rotating components
  • Tool selection and cutting strategy development for superalloys and titanium alloys
  • G-code post-processing and CNC machine setup documentation
  • Collaborating with quality assurance for dimensional and surface finish validation
  • Contributing to DFM/DFA processes for future series production

Job Requirements

  • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in CAM programming for aerospace or high-precision components
  • Proficiency with at least one major CAM software (NX CAM, PowerMill, Mastercam, Fusion 360)
  • Understanding of machining dynamics, tolerances, and aerospace-grade materials
  • Familiarity with GD&T and CNC code standards (Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhain)
  • Experience in integrating CAM strategies with additive manufacturing is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with 5-axis machine tools, probing systems, or CMM validation is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of CAD tools (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) for design integration

  • Indian nationals or those legally eligible to work in India
  • Motivation to work on cutting-edge aerospace propulsion programs
  • Ability to work hands-on in a prototype and production environment
  • Exposure to quality systems (AS9100D, ISO) is an added advantage
