Hardware Modeler – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (On-Site/Hybrid Options)
Scope of Work
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Hardware Modeler to join our engine design and manufacturing team. You will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and supporting the integration of complex assemblies for high-performance turbomachinery and cryogenic propulsion systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure manufacturability, precision, and performance across prototypes and production-grade hardware.
Nature of Work
- Development of 3D parametric CAD models for engine components, mounts, ducts, and subassemblies
- Generation of fabrication-ready technical drawings with GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5)
- Support reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, and validation efforts
- Work with manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for CNC, casting, forging, and additive processes
- Maintain configuration control and data management using PLM tools
- Collaborate with analysts, test engineers, and tooling designers to refine hardware
- Participate in design reviews and manage BOMs and documentation
Job Requirements
- Diploma, B.E./B.Tech, or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Tool Design or Aerospace Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in CAD modeling and detailing (freshers with strong portfolios may also apply)
- Proficiency in Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or SolidWorks
- Experience in modeling turbomachinery parts like nozzles, blade housings, and bearing housings preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as casting, sheet metal, and machining
- Exposure to design for additive manufacturing (metal AM) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with PLM and version control systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill)
- Good communication, documentation, and visualization skills
