Mechanical Designer – Combat Jet Engine & Cryogenic Systems
Join our elite engineering division and contribute to the design and development of next-generation propulsion systems for aerospace and deep space applications.
Scope of Work
- Conceptualize and detail mechanical designs of high-performance combat jet engine parts such as compressors, turbines, injectors, and afterburners.
- Develop mechanical layouts for cryogenic engine turbopumps, regenerative cooling chambers, and nozzle assemblies.
- Coordinate with thermal, CFD, structural, and manufacturing teams for optimized co-design.
- Integrate advanced materials like carbon composites, Inconel, and titanium alloys in high-stress designs.
- Lead design iterations using CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX) and collaborate on testing fixtures and rigs.
Nature of Work
This is a hands-on role where the designer is deeply involved in building the most powerful and efficient propulsion systems for both defense and space. Work closely with propulsion engineers, fluid dynamicists, and manufacturing leads to ensure form, function, and feasibility meet mission-critical standards.
The work demands a high degree of discipline, creativity, and the ability to balance performance with manufacturability and reliability in extreme environments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Propulsion Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in high-speed turbomachinery or cryogenic engine design.
- Hands-on experience with aerospace-grade CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA).
- Exposure to FEM/CFD simulations is a plus.
- Knowledge of DFM, GD&T, material specs (AMS, ASTM), and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience in working with defense or space propulsion systems is preferred.
