Vibration Monitoring – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines

Location: Pune, India (Hybrid Available)

Scope of Work

We are seeking a specialist in Vibration Monitoring to support the dynamic health and safety assessment of high-performance combat jet and cryogenic propulsion systems. This role focuses on real-time monitoring, diagnosis, and predictive analysis of vibration signatures from rotating machinery and structural components under extreme operating conditions.

Nature of Work

  • Set up and calibration of vibration sensors (accelerometers, strain gauges, telemetry systems)
  • Monitoring of dynamic behavior in engines during test runs and ground operation cycles
  • Root cause analysis of excessive vibration, imbalance, misalignment, or bearing wear
  • Modal and harmonic response analysis using simulation tools (ANSYS, LMS, Abaqus)
  • Signal processing and FFT analysis using tools like MATLAB, DEWESoft, or LabVIEW
  • Integration of vibration diagnostics into digital twin systems and FADEC interfaces
  • Correlation of experimental data with analytical models to predict component failure modes
  • Support engine safety case documentation with vibration test reports

Job Requirements

  • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Applied Physics
  • 2+ years of experience in vibration analysis or dynamic system testing
  • Strong foundation in rotor dynamics, structural dynamics, and signal processing
  • Proficiency in vibration instrumentation setup and DAQ systems
  • Familiarity with high-speed rotating machinery (turbines, compressors, pumps)
  • Experience working with ground test facilities or engine testbeds is a plus
  • Understanding of modal testing, damping behavior, and high-cycle fatigue (HCF)
  • Ability to interpret Bode plots, Nyquist plots, Campbell diagrams, etc.

  • Indian nationals or individuals authorized to work in India
  • Motivated to contribute to the advancement of indigenous propulsion technologies
  • Candidates with publications or project work in vibration monitoring are encouraged to apply
