Compliance Officer – Jet & Cryogenic Engines

Scope of Work

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory, legal, and ethical compliance across our Combat Jet Engine and Cryogenic Propulsion Divisions. This role will ensure adherence to national and international laws, export control regimes, and defense industry-specific compliance standards, including ITAR, EAR, and Indian government regulations.

Nature of Work

• Draft, review, and implement internal compliance policies and frameworks
• Ensure conformity with MoD/DRDO/ISRO regulatory guidelines for aerospace and defense programs
• Manage and report risks related to technology transfers, sensitive data handling, and export controls
• Conduct compliance training and audits across engineering and operations teams
• Coordinate with legal counsel on contract reviews, IP protection, and non-disclosure agreements
• Interface with external auditors and government agencies for inspections and licensing
• Stay up to date with global defense regulations (ITAR, MTCR, Wassenaar Arrangement)
• Facilitate license procurement for dual-use and restricted technology components

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, International Trade, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in aerospace or defense
• Strong knowledge of Indian defense procurement and legal frameworks
• Experience with ITAR, EAR, or other international export control regimes
• Excellent communication, training, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage compliance across cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in legal documentation, risk assessments, and government reporting

Eligibility

• Indian nationals or OCI holders eligible to work in India
• Previous experience with defense projects or public-sector contracts is preferred
• Passion for ethical conduct, national security, and indigenous defense development
