Military Liaison – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engine Divisions
Location: Pune, India (Onsite Preferred)
Scope of Work
The Military Liaison will serve as the key point of contact between our engineering teams and the Indian Armed Forces, DRDO, and other defense stakeholders. The role involves close coordination for mission-specific engine configurations, technical evaluation processes, user requirement finalization, trials, and long-term fleet support. This position requires deep knowledge of defense operational environments, procurement mechanisms, and engine deployment scenarios in frontline conditions.
Nature of Work
- Act as an interface between military end-users and internal design, simulation, and testing teams
- Contribute to requirements definition, field test plans, and deployment strategies
- Facilitate meetings, briefings, and presentations with the Indian Air Force, DRDO, ADA, and MoD representatives
- Track government policies, tenders, and defense acquisition protocols
- Support preparation of technical documentation for demonstrations, flight trials, and export compliance
- Assist in operational readiness assessments, maintenance planning, and fleet feedback loops
- Collaborate in joint R&D or co-development frameworks with armed forces’ engineering units
Job Requirements
- Retired defense officers (Wing Commander/Group Captain or equivalent) or civilians with prior experience in defense liaison roles
- Strong technical understanding of gas turbine engines and aircraft systems
- Excellent knowledge of defense procurement policies (DPP, DAP, DPEPP 2020)
- Familiarity with DRDO/IAF evaluation workflows and Joint Working Groups
- Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, and communication skills
- Ability to translate user needs into actionable engineering feedback
- Experience in program coordination, government file work, and site readiness for engine trials
Eligibility
- Indian nationals with defense background or MoD experience
- Strong alignment with indigenous defense manufacturing and Make in India initiatives
- Ability to travel frequently to user bases, test sites, and ministry offices
