MRO Expert ‐ Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines Division

Location: Bengaluru or Pune, India (On-Site with Field Deployment)

Scope of Work

As an MRO Expert, you will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations of advanced combat jet engines and cryogenic propulsion systems. You will be responsible for driving MRO readiness across facilities, establishing standard practices, troubleshooting component issues, and implementing safety & reliability programs in line with airworthiness regulations and military standards.

Nature of Work

  • Overseeing teardown, inspection, and assembly processes for jet and cryogenic engines
  • Coordinating with engine testing teams to validate post-maintenance performance
  • Managing fault isolation, root cause analysis, and repair strategy formulation
  • Implementation of digital MRO platforms and asset lifecycle monitoring
  • Inventory planning, spare part reconditioning, and logistics coordination
  • Compliance with safety protocols and documentation as per DGCA/DRDO/IAF norms
  • Training and mentoring junior MRO technicians and engineering interns
  • Collaboration with design and R&D teams to feed MRO data into product improvement loop

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in MRO of gas turbines, preferably in defense sector
  • Familiarity with GE, Safran, or indigenous engine platforms is a strong plus
  • Experience with cryogenic propulsion systems or liquid oxygen/hydrogen systems is desirable
  • Strong understanding of airworthiness standards and maintenance documentation practices
  • Ability to interpret engine service bulletins, maintenance manuals, and inspection criteria
  • Comfortable with digital MRO tools, ERP systems, and maintenance analytics dashboards

Eligibility

  • Indian nationals with a background in aerospace/defense maintenance
  • Willingness to travel and work in field/test environments including harsh conditions
  • Preference for veterans from Air Force, HAL, or DRDO engine test/MRO facilities
  • Committed to high safety standards, system thinking, and operational excellence
