Business Development Officer – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)
Scope of Work
As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities and establishing high-value collaborations for our Combat Jet and Cryogenic Engine Divisions. Your role will involve market intelligence, bid strategy, customer engagement, and proposal development to support government, defense, and commercial aerospace programs.
Nature of Work
- Developing go-to-market strategies for indigenous engine platforms
- Engaging with DRDO, MoD, HAL, ISRO, and global OEMs for joint opportunities
- Drafting proposals, RFP responses, and investment pitch decks
- Monitoring defense procurement policies (DPP, DAP, iDEX) and aligning with organizational goals
- Identifying industrial partners, vendors, and suppliers for collaborative execution
- Representing the company at exhibitions, conferences, and stakeholder meetings
- Maintaining CRM and BD pipelines across national and international markets
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or MBA in Business, Aerospace, Defense Management, or related domains
- 2–6 years of experience in defense/aerospace business development, sales, or techno-commercial roles
- Familiarity with defense procurement and offset policies (DPEPP, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, DAP 2020)
- Strong understanding of engine systems, aerospace supply chains, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in tools like MS PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce (or similar CRM tools)
- Experience working with PSU or defense integrators is a plus
