Engineering Liaison – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (On-Site Preferred | Hybrid Considered)
Scope of Work
The Engineering Liaison will serve as the critical interface between design teams, manufacturing units, quality assurance, and project management for combat jet engine and cryogenic propulsion programs. This role is vital to ensure seamless translation of engineering requirements into manufacturable and validated solutions, while adhering to defense-grade compliance, timelines, and safety.
Nature of Work
- Coordinate between cross-functional teams across engine lifecycle phases – design, validation, production, and support
- Translate complex CAD/CAE design inputs into actionable production-level documentation and feedback loops
- Track engineering change requests, configuration control, and design maturity timelines
- Facilitate design reviews, audits, and compliance checks with internal and external agencies
- Work with government partners (e.g., DRDO labs, ISRO centers) and vendors to align engineering deliverables
- Document best practices and lessons learned for integration into future engine programs
- Support proposal development, bid management, and technical documentation for client and vendor interfaces
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a technical coordination, project engineering, or liaison engineering role (preferably in aerospace or defense sectors)
- Working knowledge of jet/rocket engine systems, propulsion components, and production workflows
- Familiarity with engineering tools (PLM, ERP, CAD/CAE) and lifecycle documentation standards
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and high accountability
Eligibility
- Indian nationals or OCI card holders eligible to work in India
- Preference to candidates with prior experience working with DRDO, ISRO, or defense PSUs
- Must be eligible for security clearance per Indian defense norms
