Facility Architect – Jet & Cryogenic Engine Division
Location: Pune, India (On-site / Hybrid for planning)
Scope of Work
As a Facility Architect, you will be responsible for the planning, designing, and oversight of infrastructure development for advanced aerospace propulsion facilities – specifically targeting the jet and cryogenic engine development ecosystem. The role involves end-to-end execution of test cells, vibration-isolated engine mounts, fluid/gas supply lines, data acquisition/control rooms, and safety and compliance systems in line with aerospace and defense protocols.
Nature of Work
- Design and develop engine testbeds, acoustic enclosures, and control room environments
- Coordinate with propulsion engineers to define mechanical, thermal, and structural facility needs
- Develop layout plans, zoning approvals, and structural calculations for heavy equipment foundations
- Implement ISO, ASHRAE, and MIL-STD compliant designs for ventilation, safety, and energy systems
- Collaborate with civil, MEP, instrumentation, and compliance teams for holistic infrastructure development
- Monitor construction, installation, and commissioning of critical infrastructure
- Assist in retrofitting or expanding existing propulsion facilities for new programs
Job Requirements
- B.Arch or B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in industrial facility design; experience with aerospace/R&D labs preferred
- Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, and BIM modeling tools
- Understanding of vibration-damped foundations, high-pressure gas systems, and exhaust systems
- Experience in construction management, vendor coordination, and government compliance
- Knowledge of fire safety, EHS protocols, and EMI/EMC shielding infrastructure
- Strong documentation and project management skills
Eligibility
- Indian nationals or OCI cardholders with right to work in India
- Ability to work across defense/military-grade infrastructure projects
- Experience with DRDO, ISRO, HAL, or defense manufacturing infrastructure is a strong plus
- Strong commitment to indigenous aerospace capability building
