Supply Chain Manager – Jet & Cryogenic Engines Division

Scope of Work

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations for our combat jet engine and cryogenic propulsion programs. This role will involve strategic sourcing, vendor development, material planning, cost control, and risk mitigation across a complex global and indigenous supplier ecosystem.

Nature of Work

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with program milestones
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define critical material requirements
• Vendor identification, qualification, and performance tracking
• Negotiate contracts, lead time, pricing, and delivery terms with domestic and global suppliers
• Drive localization efforts and reduce dependency on foreign supply chains
• Manage procurement schedules, inventory levels, and logistics in a just-in-time (JIT) model
• Implement risk assessment and mitigation strategies for critical components
• Support audits, quality checks, and compliance documentation as per defense manufacturing norms

Job Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering; MBA in Operations/Supply Chain preferred
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or precision engineering supply chain roles
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Zoho) and inventory management tools
• Knowledge of aerospace-grade materials, manufacturing processes, and vendor qualification norms
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of ITAR, import/export controls, and government procurement standards
