Assembly Technician – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines

Location: Pune, India (On-site with occasional test-site travel)

Scope of Work

We are seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to join our cutting-edge aerospace engine development team. This role is critical to the precision assembly, inspection, and validation of subsystems and components used in high-performance turbofan and cryogenic propulsion systems. You will work alongside engineers and designers to bring components from CAD to reality with strict adherence to aerospace tolerances and military standards.

Nature of Work

  • Assembling engine components such as turbines, compressors, combustors, and nozzles
  • Reading and interpreting CAD drawings, blueprints, and assembly manuals
  • Precision fitting and aligning of complex aerospace components
  • Use of precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM data
  • Support in first-article inspection (FAI) and pre-flight validation protocols
  • Disassembly and reassembly for defect analysis and part rework
  • Collaborating with the QA and manufacturing team to identify and resolve assembly issues
  • Maintaining cleanroom practices and ESD-safe work environments for sensitive assemblies

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Precision Manufacturing
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical assembly
  • Familiarity with aerospace-grade fasteners, sealing methods, and torque specifications
  • Experience working with turbine or rocket engine components preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight timelines
  • Basic understanding of CAD models (3D visualization, tolerances, GD&T)
  • Hands-on experience in cleanroom practices and safety procedures
  • Team player with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Eligibility

  • Indian nationals or candidates authorized to work in India
  • Experience in aerospace, defence, or cryogenic systems is an advantage
