CNC Operator – Jet & Cryogenic Engine Components
Location: Pune, India (On-Site)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to support the precision manufacturing of turbine blades, engine casings, and structural components used in high-thrust combat jet engines and cryogenic propulsion systems. You will be responsible for operating advanced CNC machines and collaborating with the design team to translate complex 3D models into high-precision parts.
Nature of Work
- Operation of 3-axis to 5-axis CNC milling and turning centers (Mazak, DMG MORI, Haas, etc.)
- Handling of critical aerospace-grade materials like titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files for component manufacturing
- Setting up tools, fixtures, and workpieces with high precision
- Basic CAM programming and modification (Fusion 360, MasterCAM, etc.)
- Monitoring quality through in-process inspection (CMM, micrometers, Vernier, and gauges)
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace according to aerospace quality protocols
- Close coordination with design and quality teams to ensure tolerances and material specs are met
Job Requirements
- Diploma/ITI/Advanced Certification in CNC Machining or Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of CNC operation experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision industries
- Hands-on experience with FANUC, Siemens, or Heidenhain controllers
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Basic knowledge of G-code programming and CNC tool paths
- Familiarity with AS9100 or similar aerospace quality standards
- Ability to work in shifts, handle production pressure, and meet strict quality goals
Eligibility
- Indian citizens with valid identity documents
- Experience in handling complex aerospace components is highly desirable
- ITI/NCTVT certified candidates with over 5 years of relevant experience may be considered
