Machinist – Jet & Cryogenic Engine Components
Location: Pune, India (Onsite Required)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a precision-driven Machinist to support the manufacturing of critical components for combat jet and cryogenic rocket engines. You will be responsible for operating CNC and manual machines, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining the tight tolerances required for high-performance aerospace applications. This role is vital in translating digital designs into tangible, testable parts within tight timelines.
Nature of Work
- Operation of CNC milling, turning, and EDM machines for high-precision aerospace parts
- Understanding and interpreting CAD/CAM outputs and technical drawings
- Setup and calibration of machines to match job-specific tolerances
- Close coordination with design engineers for manufacturability feedback
- Surface finishing, deburring, and quality checks using micrometers, CMM, and gauges
- Maintenance of tooling, fixtures, and safety standards
- Machining exotic alloys (Inconel, Titanium, Hastelloy) used in turbines and cryogenic pumps
Job Requirements
- Diploma/ITI/NCVT or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Tool Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in precision machining; aerospace or defense manufacturing preferred
- Proficiency in machine operations: CNC 3-axis, 5-axis, EDM, lathe, and grinder
- Knowledge of machining parameters for aerospace-grade alloys
- Basic understanding of CAD/CAM tools such as Siemens NX, MasterCAM, or Fusion 360
- Hands-on experience with tolerances below 10 microns and thermal expansion compensation
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Commitment to cleanroom and safety protocols in high-reliability environments

- Availability to work onsite at our Pune facility full-time
- Readiness to work in multi-shift or high-priority prototyping environments
