Manufacturing Engineer – Jet & Cryogenic Engines

Location: Pune, India (On-site with Hybrid Option)

Scope of Work

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the end-to-end process development for components of advanced jet and cryogenic engines. This role will require close collaboration with design engineers, suppliers, and quality teams to ensure that critical rotating and structural parts meet performance, safety, and manufacturability criteria for aerospace and defense applications.

Nature of Work

  • Support the design-for-manufacturing (DFM) process during early product development
  • Generate detailed manufacturing plans and tooling specifications for engine components
  • Evaluate and validate manufacturing techniques: CNC machining, casting, forging, and additive manufacturing
  • Support GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and process capability studies
  • Collaborate with designers and stress analysts to refine models for manufacturability
  • Work with suppliers to develop cost-effective, high-precision manufacturing workflows
  • Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure AS9100/ISO compliance
  • Participate in first article inspections and root cause analysis of production issues

Job Requirements

  • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering
  • 2–6 years of experience in precision manufacturing for aerospace, defense, or cryogenic systems
  • Strong command of CAD software (NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks) and manufacturing simulation tools
  • Experience working with exotic materials like titanium alloys, Inconel, or cryogenic-compatible steels
  • Hands-on knowledge of CNC programming, fixture design, and post-processing techniques
  • Exposure to composite and hybrid material manufacturing (preferred)
  • Understanding of aerospace quality and documentation protocols (AS9100, PPAP, FAIR, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional team skills

  • Indian nationals or those legally eligible to work in India
  • Genuine interest in indigenous aerospace and propulsion development
  • Freshers with strong academic or project background in aerospace manufacturing may be considered
