Sheet Metal Fabricator – Jet & Cryogenic Engines

Scope of Work

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team working on critical structures of combat jet engines and cryogenic rocket propulsion systems. The role involves precise forming, joining, and finishing of aerospace-grade alloys for high-performance, high-temperature environments. You will work closely with designers, quality inspectors, and CNC machinists to ensure tight tolerances and conformance to aerospace standards.

Nature of Work

• Precision fabrication of aero-structural components from titanium, Inconel, aluminum, and stainless steel sheets
• Use of hand tools, press brakes, rollers, and CNC sheet metal machines
• Reading and interpreting detailed CAD drawings and geometric tolerancing
• Welding (TIG/MIG), riveting, and bonding operations for aerospace applications
• Work in coordination with design and inspection teams to iterate prototypes
• Implement cleanroom practices during fabrication of cryogenic engine components
• Perform dry fit-ups and jig-based assemblies for engine parts
• Assist in tool development and fixture design for repetitive operations

Job Requirements

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Fabrication, or Welding Technology
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication for aerospace, defense, or precision industries
• Proficiency in handling aerospace alloys and forming methods
• Understanding of tolerancing, surface finish, and material behavior under load
• Experience with aerospace documentation and quality control norms (e.g., AS9100, ISO)
• Ability to work with CAD/CAM outputs (DXF, STEP files) and convert to fabrication paths
• Basic knowledge of thermal insulation and stress-relieving post processes
• Clear understanding of safety protocols, PPE usage, and cleanroom practices

Eligibility

• Indian citizens or those authorized to work in India
• Prior experience in aerospace, space, or defense manufacturing preferred
• Applicants with DRDO, HAL, ISRO, or private aerospace supplier experience will be prioritized
