Welder – MIG/TIG for Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (On-site)
Scope of Work
We are seeking skilled MIG/TIG welders for precision fabrication of critical components used in combat jet engines and cryogenic rocket engines. You will play a vital role in shaping high-strength alloys and exotic materials for highly engineered assemblies. This includes both prototype and production-grade fabrication in collaboration with design and metallurgical teams.
Nature of Work
- Precision TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, and aluminum alloys
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols
- Fabrication of pressure vessels, nozzles, ducts, brackets, manifolds, and structural mounts
- Welding of sheet metal components (thickness range: 0.5 mm – 5 mm)
- Participation in leak testing, X-ray/ultrasound NDT, and visual inspections
- Working in cleanroom environments for aerospace-grade welds
- Support for additive and hybrid manufacturing operations where welding is a post-process
- Documenting weld procedures and following strict QA/QC standards per ASME & MIL specs
Job Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Welding Technology or Fabrication Engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on TIG/MIG welding experience in aerospace, nuclear, or high-precision industries
- Ability to work with jigs, fixtures, and positioners for complex geometries
- Experience in welding exotic metals like Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ISO 3834, ASME Section IX, or AWS D17.1 welding standards
- Understanding of weld defects, post-weld heat treatment, and metallurgical behavior
- Basic knowledge of fabrication tools like grinders, plasma cutters, and orbital welders
- Strong safety and cleanliness discipline in high-performance environments
Eligibility
- Indian nationals or those authorized to work in India
- Ready to work in full-time or contract-based assignments with flexible hours
- Applicants with military/aerospace background or DRDO/ISRO vendors preferred
- Welders certified under ASME/AWS/Nadcap are strongly encouraged to apply
