Program Director – Operations (Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines)

Location: Pune, India (Onsite with Flexibility for Strategic Engagements)

Scope of Work

We are looking for a visionary and results-driven Program Director to lead the development and execution of mission-critical programs in the Combat Jet Engine and Cryogenic Propulsion Divisions. The ideal candidate will oversee cross-functional operations spanning R&D, design reviews, production readiness, technology integration, certification, and delivery—while aligning the program roadmap with national strategic objectives in defence and space propulsion systems.

Nature of Work

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams for jet engine and cryogenic propulsion programs from TRL-4 to TRL-9
  • Coordinate design validation, testing, and production ramp-up in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Interface with DRDO labs, HAL, ISRO centers, private aerospace firms, and certification bodies
  • Manage budgets, schedules, risk mitigation, and program documentation
  • Ensure compliance with defence and aerospace quality standards (AS9100, MIL-STD, ISRO QA practices)
  • Drive decision-making processes around sourcing, localization, and technology partnerships
  • Facilitate technical reviews, customer briefings, and strategic communications

Job Requirements

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Production Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing complex aerospace or defence propulsion programs
  • Strong understanding of jet engine or cryogenic propulsion system architectures
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale programs within time and budget constraints
  • Experience in engaging with ministries, defence PSUs, and space agencies
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Knowledge of program management tools (Primavera, MS Project) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)

Eligibility

  • Indian citizens or OCI card holders with aerospace sector experience in India
  • Retired military aviation officers or DRDO/ISRO program leads are encouraged to apply
  • Security clearance eligibility is mandatory
