Program Manager – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid Available)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Program Manager to lead and coordinate key development programs in our Combat Jet Engine and Cryogenic Propulsion divisions. This role demands strategic vision, operational discipline, and the ability to bridge engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and defense customer engagement in a high-stakes, mission-critical environment.
Nature of Work
- End-to-end ownership of project planning, budgeting, and milestone tracking
- Interface with engineering leads across aero design, thermal, mechanical, and system teams
- Coordinate with national defense stakeholders, DRDO labs, and certification agencies
- Define and monitor KPIs, technical risks, and resource allocation across program phases
- Ensure timely hardware reviews, testing campaigns, and system integration readiness
- Manage inter-disciplinary reviews, change requests, and compliance reporting
- Drive Make in India and IP development objectives with supplier and vendor chains
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Production, or Systems Engineering (MBA is a plus)
- 7+ years of project/program management in aerospace, propulsion, or high-tech sectors
- Experience with defense/military aerospace programs (combat jet engines preferred)
- Strong familiarity with TRL-based development workflows and government procurement cycles
- Hands-on experience with tools like MS Project, JIRA, or other PM suites
- Excellent verbal and written communication, especially for cross-functional leadership
- Working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 26262, or equivalent quality standards
- Exposure to propulsion test campaigns or prototype system validation is desirable
