Project Risk Manager – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines

Scope of Work

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Risk Manager to lead risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting across multiple mission-critical engine development programs. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and technical compliance for combat jet engine and cryogenic propulsion projects.

Nature of Work

• Conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments for engineering programs
• Developing project risk registers and mitigation strategies in collaboration with technical teams
• Monitoring risk exposure related to cost, schedule, performance, and regulatory factors
• Leading cross-functional risk reviews and reporting to program leadership
• Aligning risk frameworks with MIL-STD, ISO 31000, and AS9100 standards
• Engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders for risk forecasting and contingency planning
• Supporting proposal evaluations and cost-risk tradeoff analysis during project bidding

Job Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related fields
• 5+ years of experience in project risk management, preferably in aerospace/defense sectors
• Working knowledge of turbomachinery, propulsion systems, and aerospace development cycles
• Experience with tools like ARM, Primavera Risk Analysis, or Microsoft Project Risk Register
• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and program lifecycle methodologies
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex risk topics clearly
• Certification in project management or risk management (PMI-RMP, PMP, or similar) is a plus

Eligibility

• Indian nationals or OCI holders eligible to work in India
• Experience in managing risks in classified or strategic defense projects is highly desirable
• Willingness to undergo security clearance procedures as per government norms
