Cyber Security Lead – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engine Programs
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid Available)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a Cyber Security Lead to spearhead the cybersecurity strategy, infrastructure, and operations across our next-generation combat jet engine and cryogenic propulsion platforms. This role requires designing and maintaining robust cyber defense systems that safeguard classified data, simulation infrastructure, digital twins, and in-house testbeds, aligned with national defense standards and export control regulations.
Nature of Work
- Design and implement layered cybersecurity architecture for design labs, FADEC simulators, and propulsion test cells
- Real-time monitoring of networks, SCADA systems, and embedded hardware infrastructure for anomaly detection
- Lead response efforts for cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and intrusion detection on classified networks
- Develop SOPs aligned with MIL-STD-1553, ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST SP 800-53 frameworks
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure DevSecOps integration into simulation pipelines and digital twins
- Define and implement cybersecurity strategies for remote operations, software IP, and data transfer across test and development facilities
- Oversee cyber audits, penetration testing, and employee cyber hygiene training
Job Requirements
- B.Tech/B.E. or M.Tech/M.Sc in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Security
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, including 2+ years in defense, aerospace, or industrial OT/SCADA environments
- Expertise in firewall architecture, SIEM, endpoint protection, and incident response platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Splunk, Fortinet)
- Knowledge of aerospace-specific risks like IP theft, sensor spoofing, and supply chain attacks
- Hands-on experience with embedded system security, firmware analysis, and network segmentation in OT systems
- Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (ITAR, GDPR, Indian DPDP Act, ISO/IEC 15408)
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
Eligibility
- Indian nationals with valid work authorization
- Prior defense/aerospace cybersecurity experience is strongly preferred
- Willingness to obtain security clearance (if required)
- Demonstrated passion for protecting sovereign aerospace innovations
