Red Team / Failure Injection Analyst β Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid + Secure Lab Access)
Scope of Work
Join our elite Safety Engineering division and play a crucial role in system hardening, fault injection, and validation for next-generation combat jet engines and cryogenic propulsion systems. This position is part of our βRed Team,β tasked with simulating real-world failure scenarios and malicious conditions to validate system safety, integrity, and response protocols.
Nature of Work
- Design and execute controlled fault injection campaigns (thermal, electrical, software-based)
- Perform system-level penetration testing of embedded and FADEC systems
- Evaluate failure detection, containment, and recovery mechanisms
- Develop digital twin testbeds to simulate off-nominal operating conditions
- Collaborate with design and safety engineers to close safety gaps
- Prepare risk analysis reports (FMEA, FTA, Fault Tree Analysis)
- Support root cause analysis during engine test failures or in-flight anomalies
- Contribute to formal certification activities and validation documentation
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering
- Minimum 2β5 years in failure analysis, safety engineering, or embedded security
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-882, DO-178C, ARP4754A, or ISO 26262 (any)
- Hands-on with fault injection frameworks, real-time debugging, or hardware-in-loop (HIL) testing
- Working knowledge of safety-critical architectures, FADEC, and sensor systems
- Comfortable working with version-controlled testbeds (Git, Jenkins, etc.)
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to think like an attacker or failure agent
Eligibility
- Indian nationals or persons eligible to work in India
- Prior clearance or eligibility for access to restricted defense labs preferred
- Experience in defense, propulsion, or avionics domains strongly preferred
- High ethical standards and integrity required
