Data Scientist – Jet & Cryogenic Engine AI Systems

Location: Pune, India (Hybrid Available)

Scope of Work

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Data Scientist to work on AI-driven diagnostics, predictive maintenance, digital twin analytics, and performance optimization for advanced aerospace propulsion systems. Your insights will directly enhance mission readiness, safety, and efficiency in combat jet engines and cryogenic propulsion systems.

Nature of Work

  • Develop machine learning pipelines for performance prediction and anomaly detection
  • Analyze multi-sensor data from turbomachinery and cryogenic engine testbeds
  • Work with digital twin models for engine health management
  • Integrate AI with indigenous FADEC systems and real-time control logic
  • Collaborate with thermal, fluid, and structural teams to correlate physical simulations with data-driven models
  • Design dashboards and visualization tools for monitoring engine parameters
  • Contribute to autonomy and self-diagnostics frameworks in unmanned platforms

Job Requirements

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Data Science, Computer Science, Aerospace, or allied domains
  • 2+ years experience in data analysis or ML in physical system domains (new graduates with strong portfolios may also apply)
  • Proficiency in Python, Pandas, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and SQL
  • Experience with time-series data, signal processing, and ML on sensor datasets
  • Exposure to tools like MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS TwinBuilder, or Modelica is a plus
  • Understanding of gas turbine or cryogenic engine operating principles
  • Familiarity with edge ML or embedded AI systems is desirable
  • Ability to clearly document and present complex technical work
