Digital Systems Manager – Combat Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid / Onsite)
Scope of Work
As a Digital Systems Manager, you will lead the design, integration, and validation of advanced digital systems for next-generation propulsion units, including single-shaft jet engines and cryogenic rocket engines. You will oversee the development of embedded control systems, AI-enhanced diagnostics, sensor fusion frameworks, and real-time data acquisition systems within the safety-critical and high-performance requirements of aerospace applications.
Nature of Work
- Architecture and management of engine digital twin infrastructure (real-time & predictive)
- Design and validation of indigenous FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) systems
- Development of real-time embedded software (bare-metal or RTOS)
- Integration of high-fidelity sensor suites, thermal/structural monitors, and AI/ML modules
- Leading digital fault diagnostics and condition monitoring systems using AI
- Cybersecurity and firmware resilience strategies for mission-critical systems
- Team management and collaboration with software, avionics, and systems engineers
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Avionics, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software, avionics systems, or engine control electronics
- Proficiency in languages like C, C++, Python and frameworks like MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with RTOS, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and other avionics protocols
- Hands-on with sensor integration, data logging, and signal processing
- Understanding of aerospace system safety standards (DO-178C, DO-254, or MIL-STD equivalents)
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus
- Strong documentation, leadership, and interdisciplinary communication skills

- Indian nationals or persons with valid work authorization in India
- Passion for aerospace systems, indigenous innovation, and national self-reliance
- Preference for individuals with prior work at DRDO, ISRO, GTRE, HAL, or defense startups
- Open to both senior engineers and emerging leaders with relevant domain knowledge
