Requirements Engineer – Software & AI (Jet & Cryogenic Engines)

Scope of Work
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Requirements Engineer to work at the intersection of embedded software, AI, and systems integration for advanced propulsion systems. You will be responsible for defining, documenting, and managing software and system-level requirements for control systems, FADEC, and AI-driven diagnostic and health-monitoring modules in high-performance combat jet engines and cryogenic propulsion systems.
Nature of Work
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear, testable software and system requirements
- Define interfaces between embedded systems, AI modules, sensors, and control logic
- Collaborate with simulation and digital twin teams for model-based requirements validation
- Work closely with software and systems architects to ensure requirement traceability
- Support agile teams in backlog grooming and feature breakdown
- Perform impact analysis for change requests and manage version-controlled requirement sets
- Ensure compliance with DO-178C, ISO 26262, and MIL-STD-498 wherever applicable
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, requirements engineering, or embedded systems
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, ReqIF Studio)
- Understanding of control systems for jet or rocket propulsion
- Experience with AI/ML systems integration, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), or SysML is a strong plus
- Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as DO-178C or ISO 26262
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong documentation discipline
