DAQ Engineer – Jet & Cryogenic Engine Test Systems
Location: Pune, India (On-site with occasional remote options)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Acquisition (DAQ) Engineer to support the development and qualification of next-generation combat jet and cryogenic rocket engines. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing high-fidelity data acquisition systems for testbeds, focusing on real-time performance, reliability, and robustness under extreme conditions.
Nature of Work
- Configure and integrate sensors (strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure transducers, etc.)
- Set up signal conditioning and filtering circuits
- Deploy and troubleshoot real-time DAQ hardware (e.g., NI PXI, Dewetron, HBM)
- Design test control panels with redundancy, safety circuits, and diagnostics
- Manage synchronization and data sampling strategies for high-speed testing
- Develop LabVIEW or Python-based custom data visualization dashboards
- Work closely with test engineers, instrumentation technicians, and safety teams
- Maintain calibration logs and ensure traceability to national standards
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or relevant field
- 2+ years of experience in DAQ systems, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or propulsion testing
- Hands-on experience with NI systems, Dewesoft, or similar data acquisition platforms
- Basic knowledge of signal processing and sensor calibration techniques
- Familiarity with transducers operating in cryogenic and high-temperature environments
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues under time-critical conditions
- Comfort with control logic, safety interlocks, and electrical schematics
- Strong documentation and reporting skills

- Indian nationals or those authorized to work in India
- Keen interest in aerospace propulsion, testing, and indigenous technology development
- Research or project experience in engine test setups or high-speed DAQ systems preferred
