Diagnostic Analyst – Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (On-site/Hybrid options)
Scope of Work
As a Diagnostic Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing, interpreting, and correlating high-fidelity data from testbeds and flight trials of combat jet and cryogenic rocket engines. Your work directly contributes to root cause analysis, performance validation, and safety assurance during critical engine development and testing phases.
Nature of Work
- Monitor and analyze real-time engine health data during ground and altitude testing
- Support engine teardown inspections with diagnostic reports
- Utilize machine learning tools for anomaly detection and predictive diagnostics
- Work with instrumentation engineers to ensure high-quality data capture
- Diagnose transient behavior, stall/surge signatures, and system degradation
- Develop post-processing pipelines using Python/MATLAB
- Collaborate closely with design, control systems, and validation teams
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Data Science
- 2+ years experience in engine testing, diagnostics, or test data analysis
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for data analysis and visualization
- Familiarity with sensors, DAQs, and telemetry systems used in engine testing
- Understanding of gas turbine/cryogenic cycle performance metrics and thermodynamic models
- Hands-on experience with fault detection, residual analysis, or signal filtering techniques
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Clear communication and report writing skills
Eligibility
- Indian nationals or OCI holders eligible to work in India
- Candidates with experience in military or space testing domains preferred
