FADEC Engineer – Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid Available)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) Engineer to lead and support the integration, testing, and validation of electronic engine control systems for both combat jet engines and cryogenic rocket engines. You will be working closely with software developers, sensor experts, and test engineers to ensure real-time performance, fault tolerance, and mission-critical reliability.
Nature of Work
- Development and validation of embedded control logic for FADEC systems
- Integration with engine-mounted sensors (temperature, pressure, speed, vibration)
- Simulation and testing using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and real-time testbeds
- Support fault diagnostics, redundancy logic, and fail-safe architecture
- Collaboration with avionics and telemetry teams for interface development
- Documentation of engine run profiles, test procedures, and compliance protocols
- Verification against DO-178C and MIL-STD-1553/1760 requirements (preferred)
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
- 3+ years experience with embedded systems for propulsion or safety-critical applications
- Familiarity with real-time OS (RTOS), V-model development, and system testing
- Working knowledge of control theory, sensors, and data acquisition systems
- Experience with Simulink, LabVIEW, or MATLAB-based validation platforms
- Hands-on experience with engine or turbomachinery testing preferred
- Knowledge of avionics data buses (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553)
- Excellent debugging, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
