FADEC Test Lead – Jet & Cryogenic Engines
Location: Pune, India (On-site with Hybrid Flexibility)
Scope of Work
We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented FADEC Test Lead to lead the integration and validation of Full Authority Digital Engine Control systems for both high-performance combat jet engines and cryogenic propulsion platforms. The selected candidate will oversee the test infrastructure, manage test campaigns, and collaborate closely with embedded software, control systems, and hardware-in-loop simulation teams.
Nature of Work
- Setup and operation of FADEC hardware-in-loop (HIL) test benches and rigs
- Development and execution of test cases for control logic, sensor interfaces, and actuator commands
- Testing under simulated and real engine conditions, including failure scenarios
- Reviewing and validating embedded code releases against system requirements
- Thermal, EMI/EMC, and vibration testing coordination in collaboration with external labs
- Root cause analysis of system anomalies and bug tracking
- Supporting control and instrumentation teams during ground test runs
- Documentation of test results, failure modes, and compliance with aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810)
Job Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in FADEC/ECU testing or aerospace embedded system validation
- Experience with National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW, PXI, VeriStand, dSPACE or similar platforms
- Hands-on exposure to MIL, SIL, HIL testing environments
- Strong understanding of engine control strategies, sensor calibration, and actuator dynamics
- Familiarity with aerospace standards like DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754, ARP4761
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and integration issues in a high-pressure test environment
- Excellent communication, documentation, and project coordination skills
